A member of exclusionist rebels, also known as the Mad Noble. Perhaps a little too earnest, which makes him unexpectedly bold.
His mastery of escape and disguise has earned him the nickname "Kotaro the Escaper."
During the foreigner expulsion war, he fought alongside Gintoki against the invading Amanto. Known to friends as "Cobra."
